Carnauba is a natural plant wax that fills in microscopic texture for a warm, deep gloss and sheds water. A sealant or surface protectant does the same job synthetically and lasts a bit longer. Ceramic Shield goes further — it chemically bonds to the clear coat to form a harder, hydrophobic layer, which is why water beads up and rolls off and the protection outlasts traditional wax. All three make your paint easier to keep clean; ceramic simply holds up the longest.
